The Brozovich Family

OrlandoFloridasmlWounded Warriors Family Support recently hosted Mary Brozovich and her children, Matthew and Ryan, at the Wounded Warriors Family Support' Bahama Bay condominium in Orlando.

Her husband, Sergeant First Class Daniel A. Brozovich, was killed in action near Ashraf, Iraq, by a roadside bomb while on patrol on October, 18 2006.

Words will never be enough for me to tell you how my kids smiled those days at Disney. I haven't seen them smile in such a long time, that I didn't think it was possible to see it again.

The kids are Asher (6) in the red jacket, Cora (4) in the pink jacket, and Piper (9) in the orange and blue. We all have suffered such a great loss that it doesn't seem possible to go on. And then you see the kids and how much they look like their Daddy, and you know you have to go on.

The Rod Price Family

seaworld1Wounded Warriors Family Support recently hosted Rod and Tracy Price and their children at the Wounded Warriors Family Support' Bahama Bay condominium in Orlando.

Rod was severely wounded last October during a mortar attack at a place known as "Camp Mortarville." He is lucky to be alive and is making great progress towards becoming whole again. I met Rod and Tracy when they were in Orlando. He has a great attitude and that spirit keeps him going.

The Funkhouser Family

james.alex.funkhouserWounded Warriors Family Support recently hosted Jennifer Funkhouser and her daughters, Kaitlyn and Allison, at the Wounded Warriors Family Support Bahama Bay condominium in Orlando.

Her husband, Captain James "Alex" Funkhouser, died of wounds on May 29, 2006.

He joined the Army in July 1991 as an enlisted soldier and worked his way through the ranks to staff sergeant. He then took a "Green to Gold" scholarship and was commissioned as a second lieutenant into the US Army by his father on August 6, 1999.

Captain Funkhouser deployed to Iraq with the 1st Battalion, 12th Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division based in Fort Hood, Texas.
